- Millet, #686 Early Dwarf White Pearl
- A grain type “pearl” millet growing to about 3’ tall and maturing in about 85 days (approximately 10 days earlier than Tifgrain 102). Plant 3-4 pounds per acre drilled.
- Millet, Browntop
- Browntop Millet is a heavy seed producer. It grows 2' to 3' tall and is perfect for quail, doves, turkey and ducks when it is flooded. Plant 30 to 40 pounds per acre April through August. It will produce seed in 65 days.
- Millet, Chiwappa Japanese
- Chiwappa Japanese Millet is a very long seasoned Japanese Millet requiring a 120+ growing season. It is also taller than regular Japanese Millet. It has the advantage of being able to be planted early and still mature late and hold seed longer that its cousin. However, the seeding rate would be the same. It should be planted earlier considering the maturity requirement.
- Millet, Dove Proso
- Dove Proso Millet is the millet doves consume the most and is relished by all game birds. It grows 3' to 6' tall and matures from head down. It produces seed in about 70 days. The plants bend over as seed matures, dropping them to the ground. The seeds have a bright coat, which protects them from mildew and makes it very attractive to birds. Plant 30 to 40 pounds per acre April through August.
- Millet, Japanese
- Japanese Millet, also known as Wild "Jap" or Duck Millet, grows fast and produces an abundance of seed. It matures in 60 to 90 days. Ducks, dove and quail love the seed. Deer will graze the forage. Broadcast around ponds, mud flats, or where it may be flooded. Some clubs plant thousands of pounds this way. Plant 25 to 40 pounds per acre May thorugh September.
